Hello, my name is Kathleen

My journey into talking therapy and coaching began in 2002 after a conversation with a medical colleague.

I had qualified as a nurse in 1987 and loved many aspects of the profession, but I wanted a role that allowed me to spend more time supporting those in need. Inspired by a friend’s suggestion, I took the bold step of heading to London to retrain as a psychotherapist.

This decision not only changed my career path but also deepened my passion for helping others navigate their own journeys towards healing and growth.

How can I help?

I specialise in helping and supporting people who are struggling with their life, health or career. As a professional psychotherapist, reverse therapist, and life coach based in Scotland, I work with clients from all over the world via phone and video calls to restore their motivation, confidence, energy, performance, and health.

If you have any questions about how we can work together, or if you'd like to arrange an appointment please use the booking button below. If you have questions feel free to email me or call me on +44 788 623 4559.

  • Solution-Focused Psychotherapy

Solution focused therapy (SFP) is a brief, goal-oriented form of therapy that focuses on identifying and amplifying the client's strengths and resources to help them find solutions to their problems. It is good for addressing specific issues, setting achievable goals, and promoting positive change in a relatively short period of time.

Eye Movement Integration (EMI) was taught as part of the SFP training and is a therapeutic technique used to help individuals process and resolve traumatic memories. EMI helps reprocess and integrate the experience in a more adaptive and healing way.

  • Reverse Therapy

Reverse Therapy is a holistic approach to treating chronic conditions that focuses on identifying the underlying emotional and physiological factors contributing to the illness. It is good for individuals experiencing conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and stress-related illnesses, as it helps them address the root causes of their symptoms and make significant lifestyle changes to improve their health and well-being.

  • Positive Psychology Coaching

Positive psychology coaching is a strengths-based approach that focuses on promoting well-being, resilience, and personal growth. It is good for individuals looking to cultivate a positive mindset, enhance their overall life satisfaction, and achieve their goals by focusing on and developing their strengths and values. Positive psychology coaching emphasises building on what is going well in a person's life, rather than solely addressing problems or pathology.
